As the scene came to life, we can hear the Freddie Kruger theme playing in the background. But instead of hearing the regular words, something totally different is heard.
"One, two. I got a treat for you.
Three, four. I know you'll want more.
Five, Six. Here's the Pixie Stick.
Seven, Eight. I'm gonna be great.
Nine, Ten. My debut at Screamfest will end with a win!"
Upon finishing the words, Candy emerged from the bathroom in her Freddie Kruger get up as she looked towards the camera before her.
"Happy Halloween, RSW!", she said cheerfully as she turned in a circle, "Whatcha y'all think of my costume?"
Once she was facing the camera again, Candy added.
"Pretty great, huh?", she giggled some, "In case you haven't figured it out, Halloween is my favorite holiday! Not only do you get to dress up, but there's usually plenty of candy everywhere ya look."
Candy licked her lips just thinking about it.
"Two of my most favoritest things!"
There was a smile on her face as she went on.
"It's a great time to cut loose and have a little fun. Which is exactly what I'll be doing when I get to my party a bit later on. Maybe see a couple of trick or treaters in the process. Who knows. It's always nice to see what kind of costumes the little ones decide to wear. I can't wait to get going!", she nodded happily, "But come Screamfest, the time for partying will be over. That's when the claws are going to come out!"
This is where her mood switched. Her features started to harden as she stared intently into the camera as she showed off her gloved hand.
"I'm not in this Briefcase Ladder Match for fun and games. There's a job to be done. And I'm ready to do it! Make no mistake about it, I didn't come to RSW just so I could fall short of the goal just as I did countless times before. I know that's what my opponents are expecting from me. That I'll fall flat on my face and be another let down. Can't really blame them, I guess. It's not like my track record is all that great. But I'm not about to let that kind of negativity get to me. What's done is done. It's all in the past. This is like a fresh start for me. I'm ready to stand my ground and make an impact."
Her tone was serious as she continued.
"I hope my opponents realize that. I'm not about to let them push me around. Sure, I may look sweet and innocent most of the time, but I'm more determined than ever to come out ahead. I don't even care what's in those briefcases. I just want one to say that I beat out the competition for it. That's what is going to make this victory all the more sweeter. Because no one sees it coming."
Candy paused momentarily.
"I can see it coming though. And that's all that really matters. Because if I can see it happening, I'm going to do whatever I can to see that it does. I really don't care who feels entitled to it. I don't care who's trying to find their way. I don't care who's looking for a bit of revenge. I don't even care who wants it just to simply want it. With every step I've taken in the wrestling business, I worked my lil' behind off to get where I am. Maybe things haven't always panned out the way I wanted them to. But this time things are going to turn out differently. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Once we step into the ring at Screamfest, I'm going to prove that I've learned from my mistakes and take home one of those briefcases."
Her eyes remained locked on the camera.
"There's is no doubt I'll have to go through hell first. I mean, there's ladders involved. It's not like they are just there for decoration. I'm going to be hit. I'm going to fall. And god knows what else before we're through. But in the end, it'll all all be worth it. Because against all odds, I'm going to be one of the four that comes out victorious. While everyone else is left in the agony of defeat."
Candy gave another short pause.
"In the spirit of Halloween, this match is going to be a scream for everyone involved. And not always in a good way. But I'll endure all the pain I need to, to get what I came for!"
As Candy went walking out of view in her costume, you can hear a scream. As the camera moved slightly, you can see it was coming from the television which was of course playing one of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. The creepy music continued until the scene ended.
