RSW Wrestling, Lord Blake, and 1 more like this

Raven MacDemare was finally back in San Francisco. Spending time in North Carolina with her family had been amazing and a well deserved break for the 20-year old beauty vlogger. Her brand new Kathleen Lights Palette from Morphe had been waiting for her at home when she had gotten back, and Raven had spent all of Monday playing with it. She was still a little salty that Lord Blake felt she needed to train, so filming new makeup tutorials had been her way of rebelling right to his face. It was all good, though. Lord was now salty because Raven had gone to Sunday’s Panthers game against the Cardinals. She had spammed him with selfies of her hanging out with various members of the team.
The selfie with the couple’s buddy, Luke Kuechly, had been particularly hard for Lord to deal with.
At the moment, the brunette was sitting in the middle of her shared bed with the Supreme Champion and she had tons of papers spread out in front of her. Lovey’s new golden retriever puppy, Aubie, was chilling in her lap. Raven was dressed in a pair of casual plaid lounge pants and a black and grey striped tee. Fuzzy black socks were on her feet and her thick locks were pulled into a sloppy bun. Lovey also had a kitten now. The solid black kitten, named Panther, was sleeping beside Raven.
Lord had bought them both to try and get back in his fiancée’s good graces.
“This data can't be right.”
Raven looked perplexed by all the papers. In fact, she even went as far as to grab a pair of fake glasses and put them on. Perhaps looking smarter would help her better analyze the data in front of her.
“Judas is the strongest person in the match but Nate and Alexis both hit harder. BearBear and Issak are the best technical and submission wrestlers in the match with Nate not that far behind. Issak also has impeccable defense. Richard is right there with me in terms of fearlessness. He will totally use that to his advantage. Judas, Richard, and Alexis will be able to last as long as it takes so if they can't snag a case earlier on, they'll be fighting for what's left. I know for a fact that Emma is able to focus and keep her composure, but BearBear is as well. Richard, Alexis, and Judas are all extremely intelligent. Hmmmmmm.”
Raven picked up a stack of papers and flipped through them.
“Trixie, Candy, Chris, Tommy, and Maddie all seem to be in the middle of the pack. That makes them dangerous. To me that means they either have lots of experience, drive and determination, or hunger. I feel like the people who stay in the middle tend to hold back or excel in certain situations more than others.”
Raven picked up Aubie and cuddled him to her chest. The sleepy puppy happily licked her face.
“No one is faster than me and my composure is perfect. Technicians and submissionists are at a disadvantage because of the ladder. I'm small and sneaky, and can slip away from them. The strikers and brawlers won't affect me. Even if they manage to catch me before I go up the ladder, I can withstand their abuse because I've proven time and time again I can hang in there with the best RSW has to offer. Even those that hang in there for the long haul to grab a briefcase won't necessarily be a challenge to me because I'm faster than all of them. Most of them will get frustrated and make a mistake, especially since the match might not be their forte anyway. Even in bad situations I can stay calm. Mondae Chaos couldn't even drown me successfully.”
Raven carefully sat Aubie down and ran a hand through Panther’s soft fur. She was about to start rationalizing the conclusion she was coming too when the door to the bedroom opened. Lord stepped through and flopped right down in the middle of her research. He was dressed in a pair of black work out pants and an orange Auburn tee shirt. He was pretty stoked that his beloved alma mater had risen to number nine in the college football power rankings.
“Aren't you supposed to be training?”
Raven stuck her tongue out at him. Lord’s voice was at least playful. He was trying to make light of a touchy subject.
“For your information, I am preparing for my match. It's a mental battle as much as a physical battle. Babe, I'm pretty sure I'm like legitimately the biggest threat in this match. Speed and composure beats like everything. When you add my aerial stuff and experience in, I've like got this. I'm going to walk out of Scream Fest with an actual briefcase.”
"I have no doubts."
Raven raised an eyebrow as Panther stretched out and sniffed Lord's hand. The little ball of fluff didn't seem that interested in Lord and she turned her back to him before curling up into a knot and going back to sleep.
"I really don't care for her," Lord muttered. "She's already scratched up my running shoes."
"You need to go back to where you said you had no doubts. You totally had doubts. You told me I needed to stay in Cali and just focus on training."
"Of course I did, Ravey. I wanted to get you fired up. Every time you go into a match, you automatically assume you are the underdog and that people are going to overlook you. You've done so amazing every time you've gotten into the ring. You need to believe that. What your opponents think doesn't matter. If they ignore you during the match, then that's perfect. When the opportunity presents itself, you can climb that ladder and get yourself a championship shot."
Raven was confused.
"So you don't think I needed to stay in town and train?"
Lord winked at her. "I think you need to just keep doing what you're doing. You get better every match. I'm proud of you and no one deserves a Supreme Championship shot more than you do."
Raven blushed.
"I would just be happy with a Mystery Box."
Lord picked up one of Raven's papers and began reading over it. "Hey Rave?"
"Yeah?"
"How come The Cruz isn't listen on any of these documents? The Cruz is finally coming back to San Francisco, you know."
Raven's eyes widened and frantically, she began searching through her papers. "Oh no! I totally forgot about The Cruz."
Lord let out a sigh. "Good thing there are four briefcases."
"Right?! Maybe I'm not the biggest threat after all."
/End.
