RSW Wrestling and Lord Blake like this

“Oh that's so pretty Amy!!! Look! You have a BEAUTIFUL six and a half bright white. That's going to look so good in your ring.”
Normally Leslie Moore’s weekly Vantel Pearls’ pearl party live on Facebook was a highlight for Raven MacDemare. She got so excited watching Leslie crack open oysters and reveal the pearls that would go in the Vantel jewelry settings. It was so special when colored pearls or sets of twins were found, but Raven couldn't even crack a smile on this night. Vendetta was weighing heavily on the young beauty’s mind.
For the past few days, Lord had done his best to reassure her that he didn't blame her for losing his beloved RSW Supreme Championship. He blamed Emma and Archer’s cowardice for that. But Raven couldn't help her feelings and the little voice inside her head kept whispering “it is your fault.”

“What are we going to do?” 11-year old Raven asked her 10-year old sister, Amber. The two girls were inside their parents’ bedroom, laying on their stomachs on the floor. They were peering down the air conditioner vent where Tanith’s engagement ring from Genocide had fallen. They had been playing with their mother’s jewelry when Raven had dropped the ring and Amber had accidentally kicked it through the vent.
“Can we open the vent?”
“I don’t think so. Maybe we can use a coat hanger to get it?”
Amber chewed on the ends of her dark hair.
“I don’t think it’s long enough. We aren’t even supposed to be in here. We’re gunna get in trouble.”
“I can’t believe I dropped it. How stupid.”
“It’s fine, sissy. I hit it and knocked it through. It was an accident. It’s not your fault.”

Amber had taken full responsibility for the losing the ring that day to protect her older sister. She had gotten in a lot of trouble and to this day Raven still felt guilty. People always seemed to make excuses for her and let her off the hook. Raven was always losing things; rings, RSW matches, and now championship belts. She muted the pearl party and picked up her phone. She called her sister and hit speaker.
“Ohmygod, I was about to call you!”
Amber Fletcher sounded very excited.
“Did you just see the slate grey pearl Leslie pulled?!”
Amber also watched the pearl party. It was their thing.
“I can’t even enjoy it because I keep thinking about Vendetta. Remember when we lost Mom’s ring down that air vent? Like, this is the same thing all over! I allowed Lord’s title to get stolen and now we have to face two other teams that are way more experienced and totally hate us.”
“I saw. Was that real blood?”
“I don’t even want to know what it really was. It took me hours to wash it all off. But Ambie! How am I going to help Lord win and get his title back?”
“First of all, it’s not your fault. As usual, you got attacked from behind. You know by now that Archer and Emma can’t do anything face to face. That’s the type of people they are. They try and play games, but when everything is on the line, they can’t follow through. Archer’s most notable victory is over Jace O’Brien. If Archer can defeat him, you guys shouldn’t have a problem. Mondae is the star of that team but what is she without Arianny? Lord did very well against Mondae but thanks to Jack Owyns, we will never know just how well. There’s a lot of unknowns, Rave. You can’t spend the next week or so stressing about them all.”
Amber was right and Raven’s silence spoke volumes.
“You’re better than you think, Ravey. You’ve never really had a real match before. You can withstand abuse and you’ve proven that. Archer had to almost kill you and Lord to get you to quit. You also got through the kidnapping. Just relax.”
“I’ll try. My job is on the line. What choice do I have?”
Shawn DeLise had publicly threatened to unfairly fire Raven on her own social timeline. The two sisters kept chatting, but Raven's mind continued drifting. The 20-year old had a lot to prove on Vendetta and a huge wrong that felt she had to right.
/End.
