"Umm...I'm sorry sir, that's not exactly how this works..."
"What do you mean? I'm telling you that Arianny DeLise is an illegal alien, go arrest her or something!"
"Issak, was this really your big plan to get her back? You should have spoken with me about this first."
Issak Otto and Lauren Parker stood at the police station. Issak had supposedly hatched a diabolical plan to get back at Arianny for calling immigration on him. Which actually culminated him in just taking Lauren down to the police station with him, and trying to get the SFPD to arrest Arianny somehow.
"I would have told you this isn't a good idea, Issak. You can't just walk into a police department and make accusations."
"But that had to have been what she did! I don't understand America!"
"The DeLise's, and even Arianny herself, are powerful and well-connected. She probably has some friends in high places, called a few people, she'd definitely never be caught here unless she was being jailed already."
They walked out of the police department together. "This isn't fair."
"Issak, you don't need to get Arianny back by playing her same little games, you already have a tag match against her at Vendetta. You don't need to play these games outside the ring, when you can get your revenge inside the ring!"
"You're right. Lauren. I don't need to sink to her level of manipulation, and trying underhanded tactics to gain a better position before the match has even started. Imagine if she had been arrested, she wouldn't have made it to Vendetta, and Shawn may have been the asshole he is and cancelled the whole match without a partner for Bryce."
Lauren nodded with a smile, fully aware that Issak would have never succeeded in getting Arianny arrested anyway.
"Besides, I think that the Bryce Empire is afraid."
"What makes you think that, Issak? He's been decently vocal about his arrogance."
"Bryce is a phony, his arrogance is a defense technique. I used to see it all the time in the amateurs, Bryce never grew out of that, I presume. Seems as though he's still doing it. I think the Americans say...fake it until you make it, right? That's all Bryce is doing, faking. Otherwise he wouldn't be trying so hard to sway my decision to stick by LIC. He's trying his best to get me to jump ship, trying to make me give him the match even though I've told him several times that there's nothing he can say to make me join him. Like clockwork, he starts with their so-called advantages, and then has to mention my allegiance to LIC. Bryce is looking for an insurance policy because he knows he's screwed. If he was a firm believer in his abilities, or in Arianny's abilities for that matter, then he wouldn't be trying so hard to tear LIC apart, he would face us head on!"
"He sees exactly what we see, Lauren, that his partner is the one that can't be trusted. She has a long-standing history of using people close to her, ditching them when they've run out their use. If she sees that the match is going to go sour, she's either going to get their team disqualified, or she's going to leave Bryce high and dry. While Arianny does play a big piece in my hatred for Shawn DeLise, and holding ZERO back in the division, I'd easily settle for a handicap match against Bryce Albright himself. He definitely deserves it, don't you think?"
"This entire attempt to break LIC apart is a rouse to get us to look away from their issues. I believe, whole-heartedly, that Bryce is telling the truth when he says he wants to improve his standing with the DeLise's, but Arianny has no use for him, hates him even. He's a fool to trust her, and that's what it come down to. The fool and the harlot. Real partnership versus an unsteady one-time alliance turned from a loud hatred. Who has the upperhand in the end?"
"LIC has always had the upperhand going into this."
"Mister Larsen is going to be so proud of me when this is all over! LIC is going to be put on the map like never before! Revenge on both Bryce and Arianny, leading to ZERO winning the Absolute championship at Scream Fest. This is going to be so very...how the Americans say...sweet!"
And the scene cuts.
