Wilfred walked with purpose up to Bryce Albright who was working those popping pecs with the bench press. "Now son, I want you to stay calm. I know you may not like this, but Issak Otto called you a fake and a phony, and he wishes he never laid eyes on you!"
"Eight. Nine" Bryce exhaled as he finished up his set.
"He even called you a coward."
"Ten!" Bryce grunted out as he threw the bar off of his chest and onto the holds. He sat up and let out a sigh before turning toward his father. "I know, dad."
"You know?"
"Mr. Bekowski showed me the video. More mud slinging in Arianny's direction. I can't trust her, yada yada. I'm scared, blah blah. It is a bit sad that my simple act of charity is looked at as cowardice. I was trying to be the bigger man, but Issak laughed it off; not a very classy thing to do." Bryce stood up. "But who better to call someone a phony then a phony. He is the antithesis of class, but still calls himself The Class Act."
"Son, why are you so focused on recruiting him?"
"Listen father, I have said it so many times before." He stood up and walked close to Wilfred. "Zero is a poison. Grand Larson is a poison. Look at Zero's profile on RSW.com, he lists me as his adversary, but who is his ally? Grand Larson and that no good-" he paused. "Actually, I don't have anything against Laura Parker. Noticeably missing from that list is Issak Otto because they don't like him. They've never liked him, and in all probability they hate him. He is starting to see it too, because he has begun to project those latent feelings onto me. It's alright though, father because the final straw comes this week."
"How do you figure?"
"I will have Issak Otto locked into the Number One Bitch Maker at Vendetta. Then Zero, letting his emotions get the better of him, will rush in and try that Zero Hour, Nine A.M. kick that he does. He will not hit me though, he will hit Issak Otto. That is when the walls will all come crumbling down."
"Kid, focus." William Bekowski walked in clutching his cane. "Are you sure that you can trust Arianny? Issak did make a few good points. She may just be using you."
"And face yet another loss?" He says in shock. "No, Arianny wouldn't let that happen because it gives Lord Blake fuel against her. She won't use me and throw me to the wayside; not yet. Grand Larson, however? He will probably leave Issak Otto to fend for himself if it means keeping Zero fresh for ScreamSlam."
"You're saying they are going to keep Zero fresh for ScreamFest" Wilfred quickly recovers.
"Zero's apparent inability to keep his hands off me will betray everything Issak has said about him. It will betray everything Zero has said, because for them it is all about revengence. Hatred. Anger. Violence."
"And their anger might just be the extra kick they need. That is why you need to train."
"That is why I need to relax and stay calm. This is a match where Zero and Issak have slung all of the mud. Men that claim to be righteous are actively provoking aggression. They are actively trying to get me to engage them physically, but isn't that what a bully does?"
"It is."
"I am a hero that is just getting what he deserves. Praise and appreciation from the man that signs the checks. My little spat with Arianny; consider it in the past. So long as she is fine putting our little back-and-forth's in the past and move on, I too shall move on. It's called forgiveness; it's a virtue." Bryce laughs. "I'm a saint; I am like Mother friggen Teresa. Doing the work for the betterment of RSW. What has Zero done? He has run over to Barassi playing the victim of a crime. Allow us revenge. How about allow him to be punished for his transgressions. His little assault post-match two weeks ago, where's the punishment from that? What about his assault on me during my match with Larson? Barassi wants to right the wrongs here in RSW but it comes with a little asterisk; unless the fans don't like you." Bryce shakes his head in disgust and walks away from his dad and trainer.
