Jace O’Brien’s Apartment
Arianny DeLise took her time getting out of her vehicle. As much as she wanted to see Mondae Chaos and have bestie time, Arianny wasn’t looking forward to the conversation they needed to have. With everything going on in their lives, Arianny and Mondae hadn’t had a chance to actually talk. Ari wouldn’t be able to tell Mondae everything that led up to her getting hitched to Shawn DeLise under the most obscure circumstances, but she could tell her half-truths as she would never lie to her best friend. At the moment, Arianny felt as if she were protecting two people - Mondae and Shawn. Shawn had evidence that would ruin Mondae’s life and Arianny couldn’t let that happen. But by protecting Mondae and leaving her in the dark about the situation, Arianny was protecting Shawn. Mondae would no doubt kill him, but if that happened, the video would go viral. It was a lose-lose situation.
Arianny sighed.
Tonight she was going to tell Mondae about what happened with Jack Owyns. She knew Mondae’s reaction wouldn’t be pleasant. Jack Owyns was the bane of Mondae’s existence. The two of them would always hate one another. Unfortunately, the situation was incredibly complicated. Reaching into her bag, Arianny pulled out a tube of MAC lipstick. Opening it up, she pulled out a crumpled up photograph that had been torn in two. Shawn had basically stripped the young teen of her right to privacy and this was something he could never get his hands on. Hiding it an empty lipstick tube had been the only way Arianny could keep it. Despite the fact it was now stained with the remnants of ‘Russian Red’ lipcolor, she would never throw it away.
After a moment, she rolled the picture pieces back up and replaced them in the tube. After checking her makeup out in the mirror, Arianny fluffed her hair and finally got out of the Mercedes. She smoothed down the skirt of her Louis Vuitton dress and began walking through the apartment complex. Jace and his roommate, Riley Calix, lived on the third floor and Arianny’s Jimmy Choos echoed as she made her way up the stairs. She stopped in front of the door, paused briefly, and knocked. As the door opened, Arianny took a step back.
“Leave.”
She snapped her fingers as Riley opened the door to let her inside.
“It’s my fucking place.”
“You heard her,” Mondae said, walking into the living room. Jace was shrugging on his jacket and Mondae kissed him goodbye. A sheepish looking Dallas Blake walked in behind Mondae, and he couldn’t make eye contact with his sister. Arianny didn’t feel like acknowledging him.
Arianny took a seat at the kitchen table, crossing her legs before her. Mondae opened a cupboard and pulled out a bottle of tequila and two shot glasses. She knew that this conversation was in desperate need of liquor. A whole lot of shit went down when Mondae was in Paris and she hadn’t had a chance to tell Arianny yet. She didn’t want to bother her bestie on her honeymoon. No matter how much she hated Shawn DeLise, Mondae knew that her bestie deserved a break. They had been through too much shit these past few months. So while Arianny was soaking up the sun, Money was cleaning up a pool of blood. The murderess knew she had to tell Ari. They didn’t keep any secrets and although it wasn’t her proudest moment, she knew that if anyone could understand, it would be Arianny. They were complete opposites but somehow, some way, these girls understood each other like no one else ever would.
As usual, Mondae wore a pair of black skinny jeans and combat boots. Her long hair was tied up in a messy bun and she was wearing a vintage Daryl Fallon t-shirt as she sat opposite her bestie at the table. An almost awkward silence hung between them. Neither of these girls liked bearing their feelings to anyone. This would be like pulling teeth.
The raven haired bitch poured tequila in both shot glasses, sliding one over to Ari. Dallas hovered by the kitchen counter. He didn’t dare come sit at the table with the cool kids. He knew what he did and that there would be penance for his actions.
The twisted sisters looked at each other and Mondae downed her shot. Ari played with her shot for a moment before sliding it back to Mondae.
“I’m on a cleanse,” The blonde declared. Mondae rolled her eyes and downed her bestie’s shot too. She had become accustomed to her best friend’s cleanses and fasts, AKA her eating disorder. Arianny would never understand how truly beautiful and amazing that she was. It always bothered Mondae that the best person she knew would never be able to truly accept herself. She would always see herself as not enough and it broke Mondae’s heart a little bit every day.
A moment passed and almost simultaneously they glanced up and met eyes.
“I have to tell you something.” They were literally the same person. They spoke in sync and then both of them let out a laugh.
“You go first,” Mondae nodded. She was in no hurry to explain in explicit detail how she smashed Frederik’s face in, especially not in front of Dallas.
Arianny sighed. Confessing her sin with Jack Owyns was bad enough, but she was still upset over losing to Lord Blake and what had happened with Shawn on the ride home. She couldn't handle Mondae being being mad at her for the rest of their lives on top of all that. It took Arianny a moment to collect her thoughts and she laced her fingers together in front of her. Sucking up her emotions, she turned off her feelings, and looked across the table at Mondae. Hazel eyes met dark, chocolate colored eyes.
“Something happened after Deception that I'm not exactly proud of. You know me better than anyone else in this world, so you know I don't live my life with any regrets. But if I did, this might come close. It's no secret how mad I was at Shawn after that show. I will always feel like he left us to die in that warehouse and didn't take the beating he deserved that night. He was irritating me on social by bragging about his yacht, because when you think about it, we essentially bought him that stupid thing. You did what you did. I did what I did. We gave him everything he had fought for his whole life.”
Shawn’s cowardly act still bothered Arianny to this day. Even though she was different from normal girls and didn't live in a fantasy world when it came to relationships, she knew Shawn had been wrong to leave MGM at the mercy of Hanalei Brightly and her masked mercenaries.
“Things went downhill that night when you left with Jace. Shawn stopped replying to my text messages so I started sending him stupid, slutty pictures just to get a reaction out of him. It's pathetic, I know, but whatever. I went to go get Oddball so he could take pictures of me at a different angle and when I went into his room, there was Jack.”
“Jack Owyns?”
Arianny nodded.
“I kinda sorta set up a photo shoot to make Oddball look like he was dead and sent them to Jack via Oddball’s iPad. I'm not going to bore you with the details of that.”
Like the fact Oddball was the reason MGM’s plan to murder Georgia DeLise in that warehouse had gotten leaked to Jack.
To keep Mondae from killing only the second friend Arianny had ever made, she had staged Oddball’s death and made a plan to ship him off to Bolivia, the place Oddball had picked from a map.
Her intentions had been pure for once. Jack wasn't a nice person and Oddball deserved better than to suffer anymore abuse at his client’s hands.
“Jack broke into our home with plans to kill and torture us, and when we came face to face, we started fighting. It wasn't a fair fight by any means because I was literally still recovering from the 21-on-3 beatdown,” Arianny paused just long enough to roll her eyes. “I wasn't going to win so after he threw me into the mirror, I had to surrender. I started talking and backtracking, trying to get him to calm down. I said some things that probably provoked him as I am by far the hottest woman he’s ever laid eyes on. In doing so, I got carried away.”
Dallas, who had been as quiet as a church mouse this whole time, pushed away from the counter.
“You totally fucked him, didn't you?!”
Ari’s eyes narrowed at her stupid brother. He lived to steal her thunder. Letting out a soft sigh, she bit her bottom lip, looking up at her bestie. Mondae looked stunned and stared across the table, waiting for an eye roll, a scoff, anything to signal that this didn’t actually happen.
“Yeah.” Her voice was quiet, almost a whisper.
“Gross” Dallas stared at his sister in disgust. No one paid attention to him because this wasn’t about him.
“Of all the fucking people in the world you pick Jack fucking Owyns??” She felt betrayed and angry and slightly sick at the thought. Jack had done everything in the world to destroy Mondae’s world. He desecrated the body of her dead boyfriend, repeatedly. He took a job as RSW commissioner and joined forces with Georgia just so he could could torture MGM. Not to mention literally trying to murder Money on countless occasions, culminating in him throwing her through a plate glass window and costing her a loss to Lord Blake. The latter was probably the most unforgivable. More than anyone, Arianny knew how important their undefeated streaks were to them. She knew how humiliating it was to lose to Lord Blake of all people - the literal bane of their existence.
“I know, Money. He is disgusting and awful and I hate him. But if he wasn’t all of those things you’d wanna fuck him too. He’s just so sexy!” I mean, she wasn’t wrong. Arianny reached across the table and placed her hand over Mondae’s. “Please don’t hate me.” As the raven haired bitch looked across the table at her sister from another mister, she saw her sad eyes, pleading for her best friend to understand, to forgive her. Mondae knew that she could never stay mad at her. They were in it forever; cradle to grave.
“I don’t hate you. I think it’s fucking disgusting, but I could never hate you Ari.” A small smile curled at the blonde’s lips and she squeezed Mondae hand. Mondae squeezed back.
“And that’s why I love you. What did you want to tell me?”
“I know I told you that Frederik had been taken care of - and he has. He’s gone. But.. it didn’t quite go as planned.” The Queen nervously toyed with her lip ring inside her mouth with her tongue. Would Ari understand? Totally losing it and smashing someone’s face in? If she still had nightmares about what they did to Braydon, how would she take this?
“What happened?”
“I lost it Ari. He wouldn’t take no for an answer. He was going to turn me in, he was going to put us all behind bars. He acted like we were nothing to him. I wasn’t about to let him put me away, put you away. And before I knew what I was doing, I was smashing his face in with a marble candle holder in the middle of his living room. I was covered in his blood, my DNA everywhere. It was messy and unplanned and a complete mess. It was nothing like the other times. Something took over me. It was like I didn’t know what I was doing until his brains were mashed into his carpet.”
There wasn't a lot that could shock Arianny, but Mondae’s revelation hit her like a ton of bricks. Arianny wasn't quick to hide her expression and Dallas had excused himself from the room. Despite the fact he had begged his sister to have Frederik taken care of, he had loved him a little bit.
The sex had been great.
Mondae gave Arianny a sheepish look and that prompted our blond beauty to quickly move towards Mondae and put her arm around her shoulders. “How did you fix it?”
Mondae grabbed the tequila and poured herself another shot. She took the time to savor this one before replying to Arianny’s question.
“I had to call Jace.”
Arianny took a deep breath. Bringing outsiders into their web of lies and crimes had gotten them in this position in the first place. But was Jace truly an outsider? Mondae wasn't one to open up and gush about her feelings but Arianny knew her bestie better than anyone. Mondae would NEVER call someone to save her unless she feared she couldn't save herself. If Money trusted Jace with her life, Arianny would give him the same respect. Jace had proven himself over and over to the girls.
The same couldn't be said for Arianny’s husband who knew some of their secrets as well.
“It's alright, Money. Jace is a good man. I'm glad you didn't have to go through that alone.”
Arianny meant it and the two sisters just sat there in silence for awhile, their heads resting against each other.
"Looks like we're both a complete fucking mess," Mondae finally broke the silence and they shared a laugh. It was one of the things that kept them bonded. No one else could ever understand what they had been through. But they had been through it all together. They understood and accepted each other no matter what. A true depiction of unconditional love.
"At least we can be fucked up together." Fuck lovey and fuck the Revolution. The true unbreakable team in RSW were the Mean Girls. No one can take them down.
Bring it on Revolution. Bring it on Lovey. You too Violent Intent. We can't wait to watch you fail. MGM will always reign supreme.
