THE UNAUTHORIZED STORY OF THE MEAN GIRL MAFIA: WHAT REALLY HAPPENED THE DAY OF SCREAM FEST
------
------
“Do you hear that?”
Mondae Chaos pushed away from Jace O’Brien and sat up. The brand new RSW Supreme Champion and her Bay Area Champion of a boyfriend were still at The Arena. It was after hours and the two of them had been obligated to hang around and fulfill their obligations to the company long after everyone else had gone home for the night. Mondae and Jace had gone through interviews, a photoshoot that their third partner had blown off thanks to what had transpired earlier in the evening, and everything else in between.
The blood of Violet Van Zant still covered Jace. Mondae was wearing the blood of Archer and her nemesis Lord Blake. Mondae had insisted they have sex in that very state right on the desk of Shawn DeLise. Call it a “fuck you” to the owner of RSW. Call it whatever you wanted. But Mondae hated the man with everything inside of her. As pissed off as she was at Arianny DeLise, she knew that everything that had happened was Shawn’s fault. She just couldn't wrap her head around the fact Arianny was allowing it to happen.
“I didn’t hear nothing, love.”
Mondae placed her finger to his lips and pressed the Supreme Championship against her chest. “Shhh. Listen.”
------
“I can't believe you followed me!”
Arianny whirled around and shoved her husband back. Shawn caught her by the wrists and easily forced her back against the wall. Arianny went to kick him, but Shawn managed to deflect the shot, spin her around, and force Arianny’s face against the wall.
“Calm the fuck down!”
He was doing his best to control his temper and not physically harm his wife. Arianny was carrying their child and she had already done enough damage to the fetus by wrestling earlier in the night. Shawn’s hand gripped a handful of Arianny’s hair and he pulled her back against him. She was full of fight like always and raked her nails down his arm. Shawn was forced to let her go and Arianny sprinted down the hallway towards his office. Shawn cursed and somehow managed to catch her right as she went to open the door.
“Let me go!”
Shawn gripped her by the hips and hauled her away from the door. The two wrestled around for a moment before Shawn finally got the upper-hand, positioned himself on top of Ari, and pinned her arms above her head.
“Fuck!”
“Get off of me!”
“If you would just stop and fucking listen for like two minutes.”
Shawn and Arianny were both staring daggers at one another.
“There’s nothing you can say. My best friend fucking hates me thanks to you! If you had just told me Mondae was in jail everything would be just freaking fine and don't lie and tell me you didn't know because you did! You know everything and I hate it! I hate you!”
“I didn't know the dumb bitch would get pissed at you,” Shawn reluctantly admitted. “But there’s no copy of that video on my fucking work computer. There's nothing for you to delete.”
Arianny tried to get free, but Shawn tightened his grip on her wrists. He was stronger than her and had her in a vulnerable position.
“I want every single copy of it gone! I've done everything to make this work. I played by your rules. I've been the stupid dumb trophy wife you wanted. I have even enjoyed spending time with you. I can deal with Riley and Jace hating me. Whatever. I can even deal with the Blackwoods not liking me much. But having my best friend since before I was born hate me? That is not okay! Do you know awful it is for me to realize what a failure I am? Mondae didn't need me tonight. She doesn't need me at all. Walking away from her hurt more than anything ever could. I want all copies of that video deleted! You owe that to me. I lost all my friends thanks to you and now I'm all yours. You got what you fucking wanted. I'm not going anywhere. You picked me and you're stuck with me for better or worse. So get rid of the fucking video and the copies so we don't have to tell our child that mommy and daddy are together only because daddy blackmailed mommy.”
------
Mondae gasped and immediately clamped her hand over her mouth.
Jace gave her a curious look. “What video?” Jace asked, keeping his voice a whisper. Mondae held her hand up, silencing Jace. She was just as confused as he was. But hearing the word “blackmail” made her stomach churn. “That motherfucker,” she muttered. Suddenly everything started piecing itself together in her mind. She could hear Arianny’s voice ringing through her head.
“There is something dark inside that man”
“When Shawn DeLise shook my hand the other day, I felt a sense of dread. No one ever makes me feel uncomfortable.”
“When Shawn DeLise shook my hand the other day, I felt a sense of dread. No one ever makes me feel uncomfortable.”
Maybe he was worse than Mondae had ever given him credit for. She needed to know more.
The champion quietly slid off of Shawn DeLise’s desk and began literally tip-toeing towards the door, still holding her title close to her chest. Mondae needed to hear every word so she pressed herself against the wall next to the door. What had her bestie gotten herself into?
------
“It's not that fucking simple,” Shawn muttered. He hauled Arianny up by her wrists and switched his grip to one hand. With his other, he grabbed her chin and forced her to look up at him. Arianny tried to jerk her face away but Shawn squeezed her jaw until she had no choice but to face him. “But I promise you there's no video where anyone could ever see it, including here. That's the truth.”
Shawn moved his hand to the back of his wife’s neck and let go of her wrists. His touch was gentle now, stroking the back of her neck and he pulled her into a comforting embrace. Arianny did not embrace him back.
“I can't believe I'm about to fucking say this but if that stupid bitch Mondae is mad at you because your husband swept her arrest under the rug and kept your phone from you for a good fucking chunk of time then fuck her. She'll get over it. And don't feel like you fucking failed, okay? Just don't say shit like that.”
It was about as close as Shawn could get to being an understand spouse. He didn't really know how to deal with situations that involved Arianny being legitimately upset/hurt.
“I just don't want to lose my best friend.”
------
Let's back up for a moment, shall we? I'm sure you're all confused as to what is going on and that's okay. There's an untold story surrounding Scream Fest and what led up to events that are taking place now. You see, Daryl Fallon had sprung Mondae from prison just hours before the show was just the beginning. As soon the self-proclaimed Queen arrived at The Arena, things got a little tense.
------
------
Arianny paced back and forth. Mondae had yet to arrive and the princess was doing her best not to freak out. The show was scheduled to start soon and this would likely be Money’s last opportunity at the Supreme Championship.
“Oh thank God!”
A rushed and stone-faced Mondae came through the back entrance of the building. Arianny went to throw her arms around her bestie, but Mondae threw her hand up.
“Don't.”
Mondae was disappointed in Arianny and shot the blond a glare. Arianny took a step back.
“Mondae. I didn't know until late last night…”
“I don't give a fuck. Save it. We have business to tend to and we will talk about it after I bash Lord’s face in and send Archer back to the hospital. You just better be fucking glad Daryl got me here or my mood would be that much worse.”
Arianny started to say something but Mondae simply pushed past her and disappeared into the MGM lockerroom. The door slammed shut.
------
Things didn't get any better once the show actually started. It should have been MGM’s night. As a whole, the trio did exactly what they said they were going to do. Arianny silenced the Revolution and made Hanalei Brightly tap out. Jace sucked the life out of the self-proclaimed Oregon gangster, Violet Van Zant, by nailing her with “The Purge” onto a parked car and TKOing her. And of course, Mondae walked away with the biggest prize of the night. By all accounts, Violent Intent and Lovey had nothing left.
------
------
Arianny walked backstage after defeating Hanalei, a bittersweet smile on her face. There had never been a doubt in her mind that she wouldn't walk away with a victory. Hanalei was a joke and not in her league. But it was also her last match for awhile. Her career was temporarily on hold. There would be no more matches, no more mind games, no more promos or interviews. An unexpected rush of emotions hit the blond and she didn't bother brushing them away. She glanced around looking for the rest of MGM, for Dallas, for Shawn. No one was there to congratulate her. Mondae and Arianny always greeted each other first after every match. It was their thing. But this time was different.
"Well this sucks."
------
Mondae had been watching Jace’s match on the monitors backstage and couldn’t be happier to watch her beefcake put an end to Violet Van Zant for good. By the end of the night they would be the golden couple and then no one could stop them. The queen headed down the hallway towards the parking lot entrance. The doors opened and Jace walked in, sweaty and bloody, his title slung over his shoulder. They exchanged a smirk before Mondae literally jumped into his arms and pressed her lips against his, tasting the blood on them.
“Congrats champ.” He smiled and threw his arm around her shoulder as they walked back into the building.
“Where’s Ari?” He questioned, looking around. It wasn’t often that the girls were separated, especially backstage at a show. Even stranger for a PPV that was this important for all of MGM.
“I don’t care.” Mondae spit back and Jace could tell from the tone in her voice not to press the subject. The murderess needed to stay focused and he wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize her chances as her match was next.
Jace walked her to the curtain and they heard her music start. He winked at her and gave her a slap on the ass. “Go get ‘em, champ.”
Mondae hesitated for a moment, shoving every doubt out of her mind and took a deep breath. Placing her hand on Jace’s title, she ran her fingers across the cold metal. This was what she was fighting for. She pushed everything out of her mind, including Ari. There was nothing she could now but head down to that ring and take what was rightfully hers.
