A Team Again.
"Hey buddy, I haven't really gotten the chance to talk to you, I'm so used to seeing you easily in person that I'm not sure if you're even a phone kind of guy. I've left you about three other voicemails though, maybe you're not getting them...maybe I have the wrong number...I don't know.
But I wanted to congratulate you on your win at Scream Fest. It felt so good to see Bryce thrown from the cage and lose his precious Absolute Championship. That was very, how you would say...gratifying. I know everything you've gone through to get to his point and I was very happy to finally see you holding that title. You'll accept my apology for not coming out to the ring that night and giving you a pat on the back, won't you? You understand, right? Mister Larsen was just nervous about me going out there because of the tension you two have had recently.
But don't worry, I told him that everything is going to be fine now. The "Bryce Empire" fell, and things may have gotten heated beforehand, but LIC is still the team to beat. I'm not sure if you had a chance to catch my match at Scream Fest, I'd understand if you were busy getting ready, but I won a briefcase! The Absolute contendership case! I'm so...stoked! As an American would say. We own the division! Bryce probably can't even get another title shot without at least going through me first, right?! I'm so very happy for us both. LIC is going to run this place.
But listen, I also called because I wanted to touch base about this tag match we're in.
I've seen Raven's podcast, I know what's going on. I admire Raven but I'm not so sure about that Lord Blake she's engaged to. He seems just as slimey as his cousin, Arianny - I thought he was supposed to be the nicer of the Blake kids. I already had to deal with Arianny trying to get me deported, I'm not going to tolerate anymore slimeball tricks. Besides, if Shawn DeLise interferes over any lies and deceit, he'll look like a hypocrite for not firing Raven and stripping Lord of the belt weeks ago when he blatantly refused to break the pin on Emma Douglas.
I don't think we should go to Mister Barassi or anyone with that information though, I'm not going to take a cowards way out. Lord is vulnerable right now. Clearly not himself after losing his title and he may be having some sort of crisis. I think it will send a clear message to RSW that LIC is here to stay if I can submit the former Supreme Champion. I know Raven gets a bad rap, but I just had a match with her and that girl is a fighter. I wouldn't count her out, and I know Lord is talented, but when it comes down to it neither of them can compare to me when it comes to technical and submission work. All I have to do is focus on keeping them in the technical realm, then once I get one of them in the Class Action, it's going to be over!
I really think this is the best situation to be in coming off our big wins at Scream Fest. LIC has the potential to make everyone take notice again, even moreso than we did at Scream Fest. I already know Lord is going to rag on you for beating you the first time around, but you've obviously grown. He's not going to give you credit for the growth you endured to get to the title to begin with. He's essentially facing a better wrestler this time around. Not to mention having the support of your loyal partner! We've not only trained together, we've wrestled inside that very ring against each other, we know how to operate as a team.
Just give me a call back buddy, and I can set up a time for you to come in and talk with Mister Larsen and Lauren. I just know everything is going to work out, and we're all going to be a team again. We should even go a few rounds in the LIC ring after the meeting, don't you think?
