Filmed Days After "Orange Is the New Pink".
We're in Chattanooga, Tennessee where we once again find Chris Devereaux (Chaos). He's taken refuge at a local hotel. He sits on the foot of one of the bed, his iPhone cradled in his hand carefully. His eyes focused on the screen; face time with his wife Keilli. We're just in time to catch the tail end of the conversation,
“Listen to me, Keilli. What happened, happened. We can't control it. Yes, Mondae's lucky another company is willing to sign her - and this could very well be her last chance. I'm not going to sit around and watch her blow another opportunity. I have plans in place in order to make sure that she is properly looked after. Unlike last time. ... I'll see you, sweetheart. Bye.”
He would push the button to end the call. He wasn't impressed with the actions of his daughter, that was for sure, but he had to accept that it happened. He loved Mondae and would do anything in the world to protect his baby girl. Including things that Mondae wasn't the happiest with. And speaking of - the door to the hotel room swung open and in walked Braydon Knox. Dirty jeans with a few rips, a fitted shirt featuring some band logo. He closed the door after him, and leaned back against it.
“What's the plan, boss?”
Braydon's eyes were locked on Chris, as Chris' head remain lowered. Chris knew Braydon agreed to protect Mondae, but this next part he would have to break to him carefully. Don't want to anger the big man, does he?
“The plan, Braydon, is for me to go back to my wife and business in New York. The plan for you is... San Francisco.”
“What's in San Franciso?”
“Other than the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Cable Cars and Rice-A-Roni? .. You, and RSW.” Chris finally lifted his head to look at Braydon. “Listen, big guy, Mondae and Ari have been contracted to the RSW company - and therefore, so have you. You are to do what we discussed, watch Mondae and make sure she doesn't get into anymore trouble. She isn't going to be nice to you, and neither will her friends, but don't let them out of your sight for a second.”
Chris stopped briefly as he stood up.
“But there's one more thing. Since you're contracted there, technically you're a part of the roster. And with that said, you have been scheduled into a match.”
That snapped Braydon's attention.
“Excuse me? That wasn't part of the deal, Chris. I agreed to watch her, not to climb into the ring. I'm not a wrestler, and I don't know the first thing about being one.”
“Don't worry, Braydon. I've been told who you're against, and believe me when I say that she's in over her head.”
“She?”
“Yes. She. You're against Raven MacDemare. She has zero wrestling experience, just like you, and her only strengths - I hear - are her speed and agility. But, and I really don't need to stress this, but look at you. You're a fucking giant. A beast. You have over a foot in height advantage and weigh over a hundred and fifty pounds more than she does. Not to mention, your strength and striking is untouchable compared to hers. If...no, not if...When you catch this girl running around the ring, you will literally break her in half. This is the biggest mismatch this company will ever produce, that's a guarantee.”
“Thanks for the, uh, words of encouragement - but I don't know if I'm willing to step into the ring with a woman I don't know, nor have any business with - and..as you said..literally break her in half. I don't get off on that, Chris. I know there are men that do, but I'm not one of them.”
“That's a redeeming quality and all, Braydon, but you don't have a choice. This is your job, and I'm paying you a decent amount of money to do your job, aren't I?” He didn't allow time for a response. “You're due in San Francisco in a couple of days for press and all of that stuff. So I suggest pack clothes you don't mind wrestling in, because I assume you don't have gear. I'm off to New York, so if you need anything - give me a call.”
And that was that. Chris picked up the bag from the foot of the bed and exited the hotel.
