“Arthur Thomas, my name is Miles Larsen and I will speaking to you on behalf of my client, ZERO. It has been brought to my attention that you two men will take part in a battle on the first edition of Shoot Saturday presented to us by the RSW company. And I want to start off by saying, it is an honor for my client to step into the ring with you in his first match on American soil, and I truly hope that he will hold up his end of the bargain and, to the best of his abilities, make this match truly memorable for not only the both of you – but for the fans in attendance.”
“But speaking on his abilities, do I need to fill you in on them? I understand that not everyone is fully aware of the Mexican wrestling scene, and you might be questioning who exactly ZERO is; so I will tell you. First and foremost, ZERO is a tremendous submissionist. ZERO can bend you in ways that you couldn’t even fathom – and someone like yourself, Arthur? As great of a technician as you are, and as strong as you are – you have no defense against a submission worker such as the one who stands in front of you. So tell me, how are you going to prevent ZERO from making you tap out – or worse, breaking your arm?”
“Another quality of my clients that you do not possess and will not be able to handle; his striking ability. Once you step into the ring with the masked man from Guadalajara, you will ask yourself ‘does he come from Mexico, or Japan?’. ZERO’s strikes make even the kings of Japanese Strong Style shake in their boots, and they will make you submit long, long before he even gets to the point of wrapping one of your extremities up and applying pressure to it.”
“You may have a strength advantage, Arthur, and the weight advantage is obvious; but do you really think any of that matters to my client? His speed will stifle out that strength advantage due to the fact that he will avoid every clumsy move someone as green as yourself will throw to a seasoned vet like ZERO. And have you ever heard of the cliché, the bigger they are – the harder they fall? Well, the sound of your two-hundred and thirty-plus size frame hitting the mat once ZERO executes one of his many vicious strikes will be the soundclip heard on the internet for weeks to come.”
“You and I are nearly identical, Arthur. We’re both new to this wrestling business. And just like you, I’ve been interested for a long time. So our knowledge of the product is limitless. But due to my age, I’ve directed my knowledge to guiding someone back to the stardom they deserve to have. And ZERO is that person. A Mexican-wrestling, now breaking into the American scene. It’s exciting.”
