Another Week. Another Chance. [Shoot Saturday I]

The scene opens up to show Raven MacDemare sitting in the middle of the ring at The Arena. She has a thoughtful look on her face.

“This whole wrestling thing isn't going well for me is it?”

Three losses in three matches would have most people down on their luck. But not Raven. She smiles.

“Shoot Saturday is another chance for me to try and make a positive impact. My luck has been pretty crappy here in RSW but I'm not going to sit here and dwell on the negative. The more I see and the more I study, the more my ‘bright eyes’ open to what this sport is actually about. In this company, Lord and I are surrounded by absolute cutthroat people. My opponent for this week could fall into that category.”

The inexperienced Hanalei Brightly came out in her first shoot, spouting poetry and basically telling the entire world how little respect she has for Raven.

“I don't know anything about Hanalei Brightly other than she has can speak in tongues and doesn't think I belong inside the ring. Most people in this company share her same opinion about that. All I can do is get in there with her and give it my best shot. She doesn't have any experience so who knows what will happen once the bell rings? She could lose her focus when things don't go as planned and I can sneak a pin like I did against Aaron. Even if Hanalei kicks out, she's bound to lose her composure and when that happens she's not going to think very clearly. She doesn't know how to use the ring to her advantage yet because she's never had a match before. As long as I avoid her strikes and catch her off guard I may just end up proving her wrong on Saturday.”

Raven just shrugs.

As usual, she’s positive and upbeat. Two losses by disqualification and one because her boyfriend threw the towel in before anyone could make a move can't really be held against her. No one in RSW knows if she can actually compete. Raven doesn't even know if she can compete.

“Whatever the outcome is, may the best woman win. I'm not going to give up and I'm going to fight until the bitter end. No one has more to prove here than me and I'm not going to let anything jeopardize this match. Lord will not be a factor this time so Hanalei, you can take that promise to heart. Everyone on this roster deserves a fair chance to compete. You may not think I'm a challenging opponent for you but I promise to give you one hundred percent. You have goals and ambition of hanging with the big boys and girls of this place - Lord, MGM, Aaron. And that is just to name a few. I'm sure you want championship gold. I wish you nothing but the best of luck.”
