Pasadena, California
"So, that didn't go how I expected it to."
Miles said as he stared into the full length mirror inside of the training facility owned by him here in Pasadena. With a black comb he retrieved from the inside of his jacket pocket, he combs his silver hair back. Eyes fixated on nothing but himself. But steps behind him, ZERO leans against the ring.
"Lord Blake made you look weak on your Vendetta debut. How are we supposed to rebound from this, ZERO?" Miles whipped around to look at his client. "I stood up there and talked you up. I all but guaranteed a victory for you to jump start the American chapter of your career, and you allow Lord Blake to... to... kick you in the face."
Replacing the comb back into his jacket, he let out a frustrated sigh. Shaking the doubts out of his head, he placed his hand in the other behind his back.
"You want to know how we rebound from this, ZERO? You win your next match. I'm disregarding the match on Shoot Saturday a few weeks back because your opponent fell asleep. You need a legitimate win under your belt in order to eliminate any doubts in you. And believe me; after the showing at the last Vendetta - there are doubts. The whispers that were once of intimidation because of your reputation, have been replaced with snide comments. We need to change all of that."
"Dallas Blake and, you guessed it, Arthur Thomas were selected to be your opponents on the next Vendetta. Now Arthur, we have a little leverage on. We know how he works inside of the ring - when he's not a sleep. Power and technique, that's all he has. You're quicker, your strikes are more lethal and your submission work is nothing to joke around with. Use it! You haven't applied a single submission, other than the one on a sleeping man, since you've arrived. Perhaps that is why you dropped the last match, you didn't play to your strengths and advantages. Let's not go down that road again. Whether or not Arthur falls asleep in the ring this time is irrelevant. I need you to go out there and do to him what you did to Angel Asesino in Guadalajara. I need you to make a statement with Arthur Thomas. Make his narcolepsy the least of his worries.."
Miles took a bit of a pause while ZERO listened closely.
"Dallas Blake, though, is another subject. His first match in RSW, he also lost. Defeated by Jace O'Brien in a very dominant fashion. But the same thing applies with him, ZERO. Use your striking, wear down his joints and limbs and submit him. Use your strengths, do not play to his. His speed, his power and his technique are the things that he will try to use against you. Avoid his power attacks, slip through his chain wrestling and keep him grounded so he can't use that speed. You were one of the best in Mexico, ZERO, are you going to allow a spoiled brat who's better at accompanying his sister to the ring than he is at wrestling, beat you? That's right, you're not. When he steps into the ring with you at Vendetta, I'm going to need you to dismantle him. Only by pieces, or with significant injuries due to your submissions - will Dallas Blake be allowed to leave Vendetta."
Miles was showing a new, more aggressive side. He did not like being embarrassed by Lord Blake. Miles took a step closer to ZERO, but even with his mask on as it normally is, you could tell that ZERO's eyes were on the shorter agent.
"You need to send a message to the entire RSW at this upcoming Vendetta. Arthur Thomas and Dallas Blake are unfortunate that they've been placed in this position; but it would have been the same fate for anyone else placed in their position. You're going to be one of the top stars here in RSW, all you need to do is establish yourself. You have the talent. You have the fan base. All you need to do is to rack up a couple of wins and you'll be in mind to compete for the Bay Area or even the Supreme championship."
"So let's just stop here and press the reset button. Vendetta is going to be a fresh start, my boy. A whole new beginning for ZERO in RSW."
