It was dark and cold, and there was barely any light shining inside the tiny room that our scene is taking place in. Laid out on the dirty cement floor is an unconscious Raven MacDemare. At the end of Shoot Saturday, she was taken prisoner by Jackson Kendrick, who made his presence felt in several ways. Hanalei Brightly had gotten attacked with a lead pipe. The referee had also suffered Jackson’s wraith. But it was Raven who was in the most peril. Thankfully, her clothes were still on but she had dried blood on her face and bruises all over the exposed parts of her body. The young 20-year old’s hands are tied behind her back with plastic zip-ties and her ankles are bound together in the same fashion. It’s a sickening scene.
A few seconds later a pair of black boots walk into the scene. The feet no doubt belong to Jackson but his face isn’t shown on camera. The boots come to a stop beside Raven and a disgusting, awful laugh is heard. Shuffling is heard and a bucket of water is poured over Raven. A scream escapes her lips and her eyes fly open. They’re full of fear and just complete devastation. Her screams earn her a kick to the stomach and Raven rolls over on her opposite side. She groans and starts trying to fight out of bonds restricting her hands and feet.
“You know that’s not going to do any good.”
Raven began to cry and started trying to inch away from Jackson. All this did was amuse him. She wasn’t going to get away unless he allowed her to get away and that wasn’t going to happen. Jackson’s entire plan was to hold Raven captive until Vendetta and then beat her senseless right in the middle of the ring. What happened the previous show with Arianny Blake had been a fluke and there would never be another woman who’d get the upper-hand on him. Lord Blake would not interfere in Jackson’s business like Shawn DeLise had. There would be no saving Lord’s useless piece of ass like Shawn had saved his.
Raven managed to make it a few inches before she just gave up and curled her knees up into her chest. “Why are you doing this?” Tears were streaming down her face and all Jackson could do was laugh. He kicked her again and used his foot to roll her over on her back. A string of spit pooled on Raven’s face and Jackson left the room without saying another word. Raven tugged at her hands and feet again.
“I was warned not to take this match,” she whispered to herself suddenly realizing just how dangerous her situation actually was. “Jackson Kendrick is sick. I've got to get out of here. Why did I tell Lord to stay away?”
Dozens of thoughts and regrets ran through Raven’s head and she closed her eyes. The bitter reality of her situation is that she may never see Lord again. That caused her heart to shatter and she started sobbing hysterically. She was letting the situation break her but how else could she possibly react? Raven was a sheltered girl who had been protected her entire life. The wrestling world was a cutthroat business full of criminals and master manipulators. She didn't belong. Everyone had told her that. Her previous opponents had. The person who had attacked Lord and Raven back on the first episode of Vendetta had tried to warn her. Harlow had spent a good hour the other day trying to convince Raven to pull out of her match.
She hadn’t listened too anyone.
Raven struggled again against her bonds. She screamed and screamed and screamed. No one could hear her, apparently. Well, Jackson probably could, but he would be the type to get off on the screams. Just thinking of that made Raven want to throw up. She knew about Jackson’s history of sexual assault and she just prayed to some type of higher power that Lord would find her before anything unthinkable happened.
“There has to be a way out of this,” she muttered to herself and stopped struggling for a moment. Her fingers were falling asleep due to how tightly the zip-ties were pulled. The plastic was actually cutting into her soft skin. “I have to find a way out of this...”
