++ "Addicted" ++
It was supposed to be a one time thing, you were just blowing off some steam. That's all.
Lord and Raven were easy targets from the very beginning. Their youth, their ignorance, their naiviety and everything they stand for simply nauseates you to your very core. The thought of having to see them holding hands down the hallway, attached to their cellphones and trying to tweet each other ,infuriated you. That's when you knew that 'Lovey' just couldn't leave that night with a smile still upon their collective prettyface. So you put on a mask, lit a limo on fire, left them in a pool of their own blood and called it a day.
...But you couldn't deny the feeling of satisfaction it gave you. You couldn't deny the almost overwhelming euphoria that overtook you when you looked down on their lifeless bodies. Your mind began to twist and turn, and beads of sweat began to form just thinking about the next time you'd get a fix like shoving Lovey's face to the ground. Right then and there you knew that you'd do it again, and you began to accept that maybe this was more than just a one time deal. You'd probably keep the mask on a little bit longer, but the torment would be the same, the level of pain inflicted wouldn't change in the slightest. You knew that you were hooked.
"This must be what addiction feels like..."
You say aloud, gazing into the blacks lens ahead of you as if you're burning a hole.
"Because I haven't been able to think about anything more than the screams of Raven MacDemare, just before I knocked her unconscious. It's all I ever dream about when I'm asleep and it's the only thing that crosses my mind in the daylight. So I got to asking myself, and wondering how else I'd be able to torment these two spoiled brats?"
You can't help it, a slight smirk begins to spread across your face like wildfire as you mentally run over all the ways that question could be answered. You can't even hide your excitement anymore.
"My newest thought was to make certain you two wouldn't be able to make your dear old parents proud by bringing the Supreme Championship home for Thanksgiving. I originally didn't care for the title much, but I know that you two do, and I want nothing more than to crush your dreams. In a round about way, that makes me want the Supreme Championship, if only to see you two squirm. The way the tournament brackets lined up, and sent me little Ravey, was just too perfect. Vendetta III saw the Architect of Ultraviolence beat Georgia DeLise's showdog and almost cause permanent brain damage to Lord Blake, but I still walked away feeling disappointed. Where were you? I was looking forward to that rich and shiny red color of your blood, Ravey."
You visibly shiver, goosebumps appearing on your arms.
"But it's okay, the moment I saw that we'd have our time alone on the next Vendetta my day instantly became brighter. Now I don't have to lurk in the shadows, no more hiding. We're going to be out in the middle of that ring where I can hear as many screams from you as I want in between the rings of the bell. Just the two of us, Ravey, won't you enjoy that?"
"I'm going to teach you a very hard lesson to learn, that life isn't all about sugarplums and gumdrops. Better yet, I'm going to make sure this lesson gets beaten into you with every ounce of me. I wonder how many kicks to the face you can handle before your hopes and dreams come crashing down. I wonder how much blood you'll have to lose before you're completely done for. Up until now, you haven't managed to win a single match, Raven, how in the hell do you expect to put one over on me? How do you think you're going to outdo the Architect of Ultraviolence?"
Every second that passed was one second closer to having your hands around Raven's neck. You laughed, and you continued laughing a little longer than you should have probably. They'd call you insane, they'd call you crazy, but the definition of such words had always managed to escape your mental grasp. Does having this addiction make you crazy?
"I'm going to make you wish I was just Jackson Kendrick."
Of that, you're certain.
