INT. JAIL CELL – SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA – JULY 28TH, 2016 (17:00)
MUSIC: “Where Did You Sleep Last Night,” by Nirvanna.
The cell is near dark, tucked away in a far corner, away from any window or source of light.
He sits alone inside the jail cell, with his head resting against the concrete wall. His eyes are closed, and he looks almost calm in his current state.
The entire place is quiet, and the only thing that can be heard is the song escaping from the mouth of Jack Owyns.
JACK OWYNS
“My girl, my girl, don't lie to me
Tell me where did you sleep last night
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through.”
“My girl, my girl, don't lie to me
Tell me where did you sleep last night
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through.”

Officer Dawson's eyes are wide open and full of fear. His arms are tied to the armrests of the chair, and his legs are tied to the legs. A dirty rag is stuffed inside his mouth. He is completely defenseless.
He makes muffled noises from behind the gag.

Jack’s foot taps on the floor.
JACK OWYNS
“My girl, my girl, where will you go
I'm going where the cold wind blows
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through.”

But his body never was found.”

An unknown man steps in front of him, and the unknown lady looks at the unknown man with lust in her eyes.

CLING! CLING! CLING!
The guard drags his nightstick across the bars, as he stops in front of the cell holding Jack Owyns.
GUARD
“Well, ain’t it your lucky day,
Jackie boy!”
“Well, ain’t it your lucky day,

The guard pulls a set of keys off his belt. He searches through them for the right key before finally finding the key that he needs.
GUARD
“Somebody above must be looking out
for you, you're free to go – charges
been dropped.”

The guard places the key into the lock and turns it. He opens the door.

He smirks.

INT. THE ARENA – SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA – THREE HOURS LATER (20:00)
Jack opens the doors leading to the backstage area, one of the more remote access areas.
Two security guards stand on the other side. Both men appear to be slacking on the job until they notice who has just walked in. They both stand up and puff out their chests.
SECURITY GUARD
“Hey now, you aren’t allowed on the
premises, Jack.”
“Hey now, you aren’t allowed on the
premises, Jack.”
Jack slams his fist into the one man’s throat and then grabs him by the back of the head and slams him face-first into the concrete wall. The guard drops to the floor and is out cold.
Jack swings around and slams his elbow into the other's face, grabs him by the back of the head, and brings him into a clinch. He drives his knee into the security guard's face twice, and the guard drops to the floor and is out like a light.
Jack continues on his way.

Georgia DeLise walks as fast as she can as she has just parted ways with Jace O’Brien. She pushes herself through the crowd.
She makes it through the gathering of people that occupy the backstage area. She starts to walk around the corner when her entire body freezes.
She is face to face with Jack Owyns. A smile slips out as she unfreezes, breaks out into a run, and throws her arms around him.
GEORGIA DELISE
“Am I so happy to see you!”
“Am I so happy to see you!”
She squeezes him before pulling herself away, not taking her arms off him, but enough so she can look up and see his face.
GEORGIA DELISE
“When, how? How are you free, how did
you get out?”
“When, how? How are you free, how did
you get out?”
Jack smirks as he brushes her chin with his finger.
JACK OWYNS
“An old friend helped a certain nobody
see the fuckin’ truth.”

GEORGIA DELISE
“Who, and what – never mind, I’d rather not
know. I’m just happy you are here, but
you shouldn’t be here.”
JACK OWYNS
“I know.”

Georgia grabs him by the hand and starts to lead him.
GEORGIA DELISE
“Let’s go to my office before anybody
sees you.”

Jack doesn't move.
GEORGIA DELISE
“What’s wrong?”
JACK OWYNS
“Your office is a fuckin’ no-go, Georgia.”
“What’s wrong?”
JACK OWYNS
“Your office is a fuckin’ no-go, Georgia.”
Georgia looks confused at Jack.
GEORGIA DELISE
“What do you mean?”
JACK OWYNS
“A little birdie told me something, so
this is what fuckin’ needs to go down.”
