The blue canvas of the sky comes into view as the scene comes to life. The silver linings of the clouds were being sliced by the vast, beautiful wings of the birds that soared through the sky; silhouettes against the cerulean-blue sky and the weather was the kind that felt like a kiss of summer without the fiery heat of noon time in August. It was certainly a perfect day as summer would inevitably wind down and fall would soon reintroduce itself to the world.
As the camera pans down, Hanalei Brightly would be seen having a toy airplane on hand as she was laid out on the grass. The light-blond streaks of her hair seemed to be amplified by the caressing rays of the sun that beamed down on her, and the young woman was clearly enjoying herself. A small sigh of content escaped her lips, holding the toy plane up and acting as if she was actually flying the thing.
"In the land of dreams and wishful thinking, it's easy for one to get carried away to the point where they can never touch base with reality. You fly up high into cloud nine, thinking that you can continue to go upwards infinitely. However, sooner or later, the shackles that is reality is going to cinch in tightly around your ankles and the overbearing weight of truth is going to drag you down back to the Earth's surface."
"For you, Arthur, you continue to think that your potential is limitless; that it has no bounds and that you can rise up from the ashes to soar off into the sky. However, you have been unable to get your feet off the ground and you couldn't take off. You've experienced turbulence and hit many bumpy spots, but despite all those issues you're still convinced that you can fly smoothly into the distance and reach the destination that is known as Success. You think you can and you say you will, but that's just you sounding like an annoying little birdie that can never stop chirping at five in the morning. It's ever-constant and ceaseless, making many people sick and tired of your shit as they're just hearing the same things over and over again. You say how you'll change; that you can somehow go through a metamorphosis of change and transition into an athlete that people can finally revere and take seriously. However, Arthur, you'll never get the chance to break out of your cocoon nest. You'll remain there forever, as you will never get the opportunity to spread your wings and fly."
By then, Hanalei placed the toy plane off to the side and looked directly into the camera. Now, she was going to be serious and address Arthur as though he was directly there with her.
"Why should I believe everything that you've said, Arthur? Why should I take your words into serious consideration when you are currently on a devastating losing streak? Why is it that I should believe that you are a changed man when you've been going infinitely downwards ever since you came into this promotion? To claim that you will be taking this match seriously when an individual such as yourself can't seem to follow through with your own words has no merit to me. Week after week you've had so many strikes against you, and when you've been given the opportunity to redeem yourself, you just keep on slipping through the cracks and have hit rock bottom."
"You are forever bound to the chains that you have created yourself. The weight from all the times you've failed is staking up, and it's slowly crushing you. You won't be able to start the engine and take off. You won't be able to chirp out your happy songs. You won't be able to get out of the cocoon that you've been fully encased in for the longest while. You won't be able to fly, Arthur Thomas, because I will break your wings and they will be forever damaged. You will never transcend upwards and get the chance to touch the sky, because you will always remain here on the ground."
"Don't get carried away. It's best for you to keep in touch with reality and not aim for the sky."
With a wink, Hanalei flashed a coy little smirk before the scene fades to black.
