First Impressions

They say that establishing a first impression, whether positive or negative, will cause a lasting effect. As I stand here before the camera, I fail to use any fancy backdrops or wear any sort of distracting jewelry. But first, let me introduce myself.
Zachary Knight.
But you may call me The Legacy.
Where others have failed, I intend to succeed. I’ve come here to RSW for some selfish reasons, but that does not hold me back from establishing a dominant competitor amongst the roster. You see, I am a Legacy athlete. My parents, Olympians. My grandfather, a professional wrestler, trainer, and an Olympian himself. Sports are bred into me, and it is why I simply have a leg up on the rest.
Now don’t get things twisted around, I am just as much as a methodical thinker as a striker inside of the ring. I do not plan on taking it easy, no matter the opponent. I have my eye on a certain prize… a certain personal goal. Those plans will be made in due time. For now though, making a name in this company and becoming the new face of the brand will have to do.
The line between cocky and confident can be one that disappears in the same. I will apologize before I am taken wrong; I have the utmost confidence that RSW has signed some of the best talent that it could. And I am sure that they have done their best to fill their niches and earned their spots amongst the top of the company. But never fear, because a true competitor is here to take the reigns of this wild carriage and steer it into the promised land. RSW seems like a bit of the Wild West, and this is a place for me to run rough shot on the roster.
Let’s focus in on what we have in front of us; my debut, and it is a Triple Threat match. I guess what better way to begin, then to beat two talents to earn my first win. Some people like doing things the easy way, but not me. I like earning my way.
Emma Douglas is one of my two opponents. I did a bit of research on her, as much as I could. It looks like she is brand new around these parts as well. From her picture, it looks like she is crazy from head to toe. She might be one to push her way around with other ladies or think that she is big and bad, but is she naturally gifted as an athlete? Does she have power AND quickness? And with that Fifty Shades of Crazy going on, who knows if she will even be able to behave and comply with the rules.
And we have Arthur Thomas. Someone that is as green as the manicured grass in the suburbs. A man that didn’t even make it into the final three in his match at Deception. Middle of the road might be good enough for him and I am sure he will be super positive and upbeat about his go at it. But the difference between him and I? I stand for greatness; he stands for mediocrity. I guess I will have to just beat who they put in front of me until it is my name at the top of the marquee, headlining the shows. In due time, RSW. In due time.
(He smiles as he heads off camera, the video comes to an end. )

OFF CAMERA
Yeah, I got it mom. All good. I am getting comfortable and setup. Yeah. She is debuting too, but no, haven’t met her yet.
(He smiles and laughs as he talks on the phone.)
Oh, she will definitely feel my presence soon enough. She thinks that she is this little goodie girl and she is the reason we had to sell the damn school. She will pay for what her and her little friend did.
(He nods, as if his mother sees it.)
Yes. Exactly. We are on the same page. She will know soon enough. And I will make sure that she is scared off and decides to try a different hobby because there is no way that she is in the same class as me. A Legacy athelete.
(He listens for a few moments.)
I get it. Said I GET IT, Mom.
(He pauses.)
I love you, too. Bye.
