DESCRIPTION OF PERSONAILITY: Bear Reynolds likes to think of himself as the ultimate gentleman. He has good manners, a tidy appearance, a lot of success, and upholds himself to high standards. Whilst success seemingly runs through his blood, he tries to stay humble (though isn't always good at it), being as good-natured as he can be, considering he is a 'true gentleman'. Sportsmanship is key for Bear, and he tries his best never to underestimate someone. Though, considering his belief that he is the best a man can be, he does try to influence others around him, wanting them to be just as good as he is. Most of the time, Bear is oblivious to the fact that he can be condescending to those he thinks are not as well-mannered as he is, as he genuinely just wants to help – though of course, not everyone is appreciative of someone like him telling them what to do. A generally sociable and trusting man, Bear knows the importance of good behaviour and respect, but of course, believes others must respect him more due to his lifestyle. Who wouldn't want to respect such an upstanding citizen such as himself, after all?
SUPPORTING CAST:
Trent Abernathy – Bear has taken Trent under his wing after the two met at an indie wrestling show where they were both competing. Originally from England, Trent has moved out to the States to follow his dream of becoming big in the pro wrestling world, and Bear has seen enough potential in him to take him on as an apprentice of sorts. He's also taken Trent on due to the gaping hole in his life after his falling out with former tag team partner Derrick Manning...though we don't talk about that any more.
Derrick Manning – Bear's former tag team partner, the two enjoyed a lot of success on the independent wrestling scene. However, the duo had a huge falling out not long after it was revealed that Bear had signed on to RSW, and their friendship and status as a team was ruined as a result. The specific reason for their falling out remains a mystery – some claim it was due to Bear signing with RSW, whilst others believe Bear caught Derrick doing something particularly 'ungentlemanly'. Whatever the reason, Derrick continues to tear it up on the indie circuit, whilst Bear largely tries to ignore him as best he can.
SUPPORTING CAST BASE:
Trent Abernathy – Trent Seven
Derrick Manning – Kyle O'Reilly
A L L I A N C E
WRESTLER: Arthur Thomas
REASONS: As someone who has spent a lot of his wrestling career working hard to get where he is, Bear sympathises with Arthur and is impressed with his dedication to the sport.
A D V E R S A R I E S
WRESTLER: Jace O'Brien
REASONS: Bear already isn't too fond of a lot of the 'extreme' wrestlers he sees, but Jace embodies what he dislikes most: an uncouth appearance, coldness and aggression, rule-breaking and anti-establishment attitude... Just thinking about Jace and all of the other 'delinquent' wrestlers is enough to make Bear turn his nose up in disgust.

WRESTLING STYLE: A lot of emphasis on technical wrestling and submissions. Bear thrives on the mat, and enjoys taking his opponent down and working over specific limbs with targeted attacks and holds. He is more of a tactician, and he fights smart rather than with pure instinct. If he is in a pinch, Bear will work hard to protect himself rather than run himself down out of desperation.
WEAPON OF CHOICE: He doesn't enjoy using weapons, but if he had to use something, it would be the more discrete brass knuckles.
FAVORITE MATCH TYPES: Any match where he can show off his technical wrestling abilities: submission matches and simple traditional wrestling matches in general, where all the typical rules apply. His experience in tag team matches also means he's not too bad in multi-man matches as he shows good awareness of more than one opponent at a time.
DISLIKED MATCH TYPES: Anything where unorthodox weapons can be used and are encouraged, as simply put, he doesn't know how to deal with them. Deathmatches are his most disliked matches – they are a boy's playground and not a man's domain.
IN-RING EXPERIENCE: He has been in pro wrestling for ten years, and did collegiate wrestling during his college years.
IN-RING STRENGTHS: With ten years of experience in the pro wrestling world and an amateur wrestling background, he has managed to fine-tune his technical and submission skills, and can outmanoeuvre and trap many of the lesser-skilled opponents and rookies. He also shows incredible focus in his matches, and can attack with pinpoint accuracy. As stated before, his experience with tag team matches of all kinds means he can focus on multiple opponents at once, making him more immune to distractions than most others.
IN-RING WEAKNESSES: His high-flying skills are by far his weakest aspect, since he focusses more on matwork and grappling. He is also not the most physically-imposing of wrestlers, and brawling is not his strong point. Some would say that he can be too trusting at times if put into a situation where alliances can form, and this can lead to people taking advantage of him if they manage to weasel past his barriers. His past with more 'pleasant' people means he also tends to give people the benefit of the doubt in matches, believing that most can be very sporting in the ring – they wouldn't go for a low blow or hit him in the back with a chair, now would they?
IN-RING ATTITUDE: He likes to think of himself as very sporting, always wanting a good, clean match. Bear will focus on his opponent and their weaknesses as much as he can, becoming very tactical when going face-to-face with someone. No matter the situation he is in, Bear will stay calm and try to use logic rather than instinct – if he is in a bad situation, he will play it safe and smart, and if he is in a good situation, he will be more methodical and won't get too cocky.
B I O G R A P H Y
Born and raised whilst living in success, Bear Reynolds has always idolised the 'ultimate gentleman'. He grew up around businessmen wearing suits and smoking cigars, had good manners and hard work instilled in him since his childhood, and was raised to be a good young man. Originally meant to inherit his family's (strangely successful and most likely superbly shady) fishing wares business, Bear soon found himself much more invested in amateur and collegiate wrestling. His parents at first were unimpressed, but upon seeing how successful Bear was, they soon changed their outlook. He competed across the state of New York, winning multiple awards.
However, as his college years came close to ending, Bear realised that he wanted to do something more with his skills. Whilst at college, he met Derrick Manning, a young man who shared similar interests to him, though of course, Bear was better in every way (at least in his own mind). After expressing his desire to move onto something new in terms of sport, Derrick introduced Bear to the world of pro wrestling, and Bear was immediately enamoured with it all. The duo trained together at the Armbar Academy in New York, and were soon taking the independent circuit by storm as 'The Gentleman's Club'. The team held several tag team championships across a variety of promotions, from the smallest feds in Japan to the bigger underground indies in the US. Their technical skills were what some considered to be a breath of fresh air in the more modern, spotfest indies, and their 'gentlemanly attitudes' made them big characters wherever they went.
However, life on the indie circuit didn't last forever with Bear. Soon enough, he wanted to go somewhere bigger, and RSW came knocking. He was quick to enter negotiations, though kept it somewhat of a secret from Derrick. The details are blurry about what happened between then and now, but the two fell out on an epic scale, and The Gentleman's Club was no more. But Bear is looking to the future, and is ready to get the recognition he feels he deserves for all of his hard work on the indie scene.
