THE FRIGGIN' RING WIZARD“Are you sure this is gonna’ get me ready for this match?”
The voice belonging to miss Hailey Banks opens the video. She rides shotgun in the car as it cruises through a rough looking part of San Francisco. Hailey stares out of the window wide eyed as she spots a few gang members standing outside of a gas station. The car slowed to a stop at a red light.
“Look at these hoodlums! Standing around, loitering!” she sounded absolutely horrified at that. She turned around in her seat, whipping her head around to look at Aiden Van’t Hoff, the driver for this little adventure. “Did you research your opponent, Hails? The bitch basically lived in the streets of Oregon. I don’t know how San Francisco compares to Oregon, but this is close enough. Study their habits.” - “What, selling drugs?”
Aiden went silent for a moment and Hailey turned her head back to the streets. “They’re fucking rats, Hails. Products of their environment, my ass. They chose to turn to the streets instead of actually trying to do anything to fix it. It’s fucking pathetic.”, tell us how you really feel, Aiden. “So Vi was like this? No, I don’t believe it. She’s rockin’ those Kylie Jenner lips - those things don't come cheap! She looks more like a Suicide Girl than a gangster.”
“What the fuck are you even talking about? Yes she was exactly like these people. She’s a self-proclaimed Oregon Gangster. She has no business in the ring with people like us.”
Hailey kept her focus on the sights in front of her. “Well it's a good thing this is a wrestling match and not a drive by or gang war. I'm sure she can bust a cap in my ass, or whatever it is they do nowadays, but I'm also certain I can out wrestle her when it comes down to go time.”
“I don't know. Apparently she's a street fighter.” .. “Like the game? Video games aren't my forte.” .. “No, like fuckin’ fight club.” .. “Seriously? So not only do I have to worry about her pulling out a gun, now I have to worry about Tyler Durden jumping in on the action?”
“It's a good fuckin’ thing you're hot. Jesus Christ.” Hailey didn't acknowledge that comment. A silence filled the car after Hailey’s body fell back against the back of the seat. She sighed a little, going through things in her head. “Kay, so she’s a gangster. She’s a street fighter. She probably has a gun. And odds are she will try to threaten my life at one point or another. Should I be worried, Hoff? She’s a gangsta after all.” Hailey tried her best with the slang and lingo, but look at her - hip and with it, she was not.
“Has one loss made you this insecure? You didn’t win at Deception, boo hoo. I didn’t either, so you know what I’m going to do? Prove that I actually deserve to fuckin’ be here. You? You’re a hundred times better than this skank.” Hailey nodded her head as Aiden drove. You could sense he was beginning to get a little frustrated at Hailey’s attitude at the moment. He knew how talented Hailey was…in the ring, and so did she. “You’re right. I have nothing to worry about. My superior wrestling skills, submission ability and in-ring knowledge will help me beat her. I’m a straight up vet, son..” and there was that failed lingo again. “I’ll put her down and break her. My finishing move is appropriate, right? The Bitch Breaker? I’ll earn my first victory and keep climbing back up to that title!”
Hailey smiled a big smile. She was so very close to capturing the Absolute Championship at Deception, and Aiden was right. She wasn’t going to let one loss waiver her. She was going to beat Violet. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Hailey was more experienced and a far better athlete. This was in the bag.
“She may be an O.G. in the streets, but in the ring I’m the only gangsta’ that matters. I’m a frickin’ Ring Wizard.” … “Sure, Hailey. That works.” Aiden replied, and that was where the video ended.
