LARSEN INTERNATIONAL CO.
An apartment building not too far from The Arena in San Francisco is where we’re set up. An out of place Lamborghini parked out front is a dead give away to Miles Larsen that he is indeed in the right place. After Lauren did her research, she was able to find the unit number that is under the possession of one - Jace O’Brien, and that is where Miles went. Miles was alone this afternoon but he didn’t need or want anyone else there for this. He stood in front of the door and with a deep breath, knocked heavily three times. He waited for a moment before the door opened and there stood the Bay Area Champion, Jace O’Brien. Miles smiled, Jace stared.
“Miles Larsen, pleasure to meet you Mister O’Brien. … I’m not here for pleasantries, though, so I’ll get to the point. I know she is here, and I need to speak to Arianny Blake please. It’s quite urgent.”
Jace’s eyes narrowed, and just as he was going to say something the door opened further. Arianny Blake stands in the doorway and gives a nod to Jace, who shrugs and walks away. Miles’ eyes lock on Arianny before motioning for her to come outside, “Please. In private.” Arianny rolled her eyes and walked out of the apartment, closing the door after her.
“Ohmygod, it was just a one night stand. I'm not having sex with you again.” She said to Miles, which caused him to shake his head almost immediately. “No, no Miss Blake. That’s not why I came here at all.” The stern look on her face told him everything she needed to say, without saying a word. “I’m here because of the turn of events that have happened since…”
Miles turned his head, spotting a little outdoor furniture set not too far by. He walked over to it and sat down - motioning with his arm for Ari to join him. Reluctantly she did.
“You see, on that night you gave to me a promise. A promise that should he lay down and give you the match, you would return the favor. You would ensure that he would be guaranteed a shot at the Absolute Championship. A shot that he has rightfully earned, had he laid down for you or not. But now here we are. Not only did Shawn DeLise completely disregard the deal that you and I made - he also put ZERO in a contendership match. A contendership match. Miss Blake, you and I both know that there should be no contendership series. It should be ZERO versus Bryce for the championship. No if’s, and’s or but’s about that one. A deal is a deal.”
Miles took a bit of a pause. Ari just watched him speak and just as she was about to say something, Miles continued..
“I’m sure ZERO doesn’t mind welcoming the challenge of Bear Reynolds this week, because ZERO is a competitor through and through. But, the match shouldn’t be taking place - not with these stipulations. Am I worried about this match? I have no reason not to have complete faith in ZERO’s abilities to beat this man at Vendetta. It’s going to be a battle, for sure, but I fully believe in my client - just as I did on the night that he was scheduled to face you. You were the one to come to me and propose to me the deal, remember?”
Another pause, but again before Ari could reply, Miles spoke again.
“And now look at you. In a position of power, correct? You own the company from what I gather from your various social media postings. If that’s so, then do what's right. Fix this entire situation, Arianny. The one that you created in the first place. I really want to trust that you’re a woman of your word and that ZERO will get what he rightfully deserves. If not and he has to go through Bear and whomever else to get it? So be it, but I can assure you that sooner or later you will have to pay.”
Miles stands up and brushed off his suit pants. With a smile, he looked back down to Ari. “I hope that I have made myself clear. And I hope that you fix this problem. For everyone’s sake.”
And with that, Miles walked away.
