The scene opened up inside a wrestling ring. Aiden was perched on the top rope and looking at his phone. Sitting below him was Hailey Banks. They both looked as if they had just finished a training session. Hailey crossed her legs underneath her and looked up at her best friend.
“Ready?”
Aiden shrugged but never took his eyes off whatever he’s looking at. “I’m ready. I’ve listened to Bryce’s bullshit and Sammi’s sunshine and rainbows, and honestly I just want to get on with the fucking match. This is my opportunity to show RSW that I belong inside that ring and up there with the so-called stars and main-eventers. Hails, you and I both deserve so much better than the hands we’ve been dealt. The Archer and Emma thing still pisses me off and you know what? I doubt we get a crack at them. Shawn DeLise won’t give a flying fuck that we got attacked because no matter what he says on social, he doesn’t give a shit about anyone who works here. That guy is out to make our lives miserable and someone needs to knock him right on his goddamn ass.”
Hailey giggled.
“So I take it you’re still pissed he called you a loser?”
“Because I’m fucking not,” Aiden snapped and finally looked up from his phone. He shot a glare down at Hailey who just beamed at him.
“You were this weekend.”
The Ole Miss/Bama game was still a touchy subject.
“I told you not to mess with Arianny Blake,” Hailey replied. “That girl is trouble and look at all the baggage she comes with. You probably won't get another chance at a championship as long as she's with Shawn because I don't believe for a minute they've broken up. Negativity attracts negativity and they won't be able to leave each other alone. By default, we’re stuck in this situation with Lord and Ravey. Let's not make it worse.”
Hailey’s voice was gentle, but firm. Aiden brushed off the warning. He wasn't going to stop pursuing Arianny Blake.
“I’ve done nothing but win my entire life. I captained the Resurrection Catholic High School Eagles to the state football championships for three years in a row. I was valedictorian, senior class president, and I somehow managed to maintain perfect grades throughout college. I don’t even fucking remember most of college. It just blows my fucking mind that I’ve started my career here with two losses.”
Aiden jumped down and sat down beside Hailey. She was in the same boat he was.
“I’m better than that fuck, Bryce Albright. He’s literally lucked his way into being a champion and he talks a lot of shit. I hit harder than he does and I'm smarter inside that ring. Bryce’s amateur background is great, but he doesn't know the ins and outs of the ring yet. I've also got an advantage over him when it comes to endurance. I mean, look at this body. We both know I'm in shape.”
Hailey simply rolled her eyes.
“Bryce didn't beat multiple people to win the Absolute Championship so as far as I'm concerned, he's unproven. It's ridiculous that he’s been given this chance. He had his chance at the Bay Area Championship and he failed. Really, this match should just be about Sammi and myself.”
Hailey perked up at the mention of Sammi Myers.
“I love her!”
Aiden just rolled his eyes. “I’m well aware. You and Rave basically want to adopt her and The Cruz at this point. I don't get it.”
Hailey smirked. “Cruz is hot.”
“I really can't with you.”
Hailey winked. “Look, Hoff. I do agree that it should be you and Sammi, without Bryce. But it's not. Don't overlook her. She has everything going for her and the right attitude. That girl will never give up or quit. She's talented.”
“I know. But she's just over-matched this week. She would be a threat one on one, but Bryce and I both are too strong for her. She can't handle both of us. Our power is just too much. Her aerial ability will be useless in the match because we will easily be able to ground her. And like I already said, her speed is useless because neither of us are slow.”
“Fair enough, Hoff. Anyways, enough of this. Lets go get smoothies."
/End.
