“Lord Blake didn't know it at the start of the night, but a last-minute decision put the RSW Supreme Championship on the line just last night during Vendetta’s main event. As we have promised, every time that title is defended we will have the Champion appear the next morning here on “Wake Up, San Francisco” so let’s bring out the Supreme Champion of Ready, Set, Wrestle!”
As the camera cuts away from her, Evelyn Sparks smoothes her skirt and breathes deeply. It hadn’t been three weeks since she was unceremoniously dumped as RSW correspondant by sole-owner Shawn Delise, but she had landed on her feet. The ABC affiliate rebooted the morning show “Wake Up, San Francisco” and needed anchors. She was able to leverage her background in the San Francisco sports world - especially her relationship with RSW - to land the job. She only had to promise an RSW champion would appear on her show once a month, and what better Champion than the top one.
She wasn’t sure she could actually make this happen despite her promise and the nervous lump in her throat didn’t disappear until she had word that Lord Blake had entered the building. She hadn’t fully considered it before, but now that Lord was walking on set, she was so glad Mondae Chaos or Archer hadn’t left Vendetta with the title. This should be a much easier interview…
Lord Blake walks onto the morning show half-dragging the RSW Supreme title on the ground before throwing the belt down on the coffee table in the center of the set. Evelyn had risen with a hand extended, but upon seeing Lord’s demeanor, she quickly retakes her seat on the couch. Lord flops down on the one opposite, looking annoyed that he even has to be here this early in the morning. Evelyn decides to just jump to it.
“Lord, last night on Vendetta -”
He cuts her off.
“I defended my Supreme Championship against four other g-----n casuals and not only did I win, but I got my f-----g belt back too.”
Thank f--k for five second tape delays and censor buttons.
“Please Lord, watch your language on our morning program.”
“Why the f--k would I do that? I’m the RSW Supreme Champion.”
“Oh, um, moving on and speaking of that title: the contendership of Mondae Chaos will be on the line in two weeks when you take on Arianny Blake.”
“Who is that? As far as I know I'm facing Arianny Delise at Vendetta with Mondae as the special referee. It's not hard to see what the f-----g plan is here, Evelyn. Keep me out of the building until gametime so they can try doing whatever they can to my unbreakable Ravey. I don't know why they f-----g stopped there though. Why not make the Blackwood bitches lumberjacks? Get Jace there to call the match with his stupid foreign accent, have Shaun play bell-ringer - hell, let’s go dig up big fat Gabe McKearns and bring him around too!
“F--k, I'm surprised my Supreme Championship isn't on the line here - it's been a while since she won a title. In fact, I insist on putting my championship on the line against Arianny Delise. It's the only way I'll actually be motivated to fight her. She thinks I'd actually fight to keep Mondae Chaos away from my belt? It'll be Chaos' fourth crack at it after Vendetta-One, the tournament and last night. She's no challenge for me, but she keeps making claims on my title so I’d just as soon lay down for Mrs. Delise to guarantee Mondae's shot. At least if I put it up against Ari it’ll give me a reason to catch her speedy little ass and before I punch her in the mouth and break all her teeth on my f-----g knee.”
Evelyn’s mouth is agape and she stammers to find words.
“Well, uh, let's take a look at what Arianny Bla.. Delise had to say last night.”
“No, let's not.”
Video of Ari’s post-Vendetta speech plays on the screen hanging over their heads and Lord gives the screen a shove. Cords become disconnected and the footage glitches out for a moment. Lord let's out an annoyed grunt seeing her dumb face frozen, smirking on screen and throws his foot over Evelyn Sparks head, connecting his Silver Bullet with the screen. Sparks fly as Lord walks off set with his Championship.
