[Hanalei Brightly]

Mission Dolares Park is one of San Francisco’s most popular parks, the vibrant heart of its equally vibrant, culturally diverse neighborhood. Being that the park attracted a lot of people, various people occupied the lush green lawns on this sunny October afternoon, though many of them weren't walking their precious fur babies, picnicking or playing around. Instead, many of the park goers were fixated on the news vans and camera crew that surrounded the area. Of course people are curious by nature, so there was a lot of commotion and speculation going around as more people gathered to see what was going on. Was there a murder? A robbery? 

All of these fleeting questions passed through everyone's mind, but actually, nothing serious like those crimes aforementioned happened. Instead, a blonde woman who looked to be in great distress was sobbing into the tissue that she had on had while a man had his arm wrapped around her in a comforting caress. Right in front of the blonde was another woman who were a fitted blazer, a pair of slackers and had her hair slick back into a ponytail. This woman was clearly a reporter as she had a microphone with an ABC7 News emblem on it. She looked directly into the camera, having a serious expression on her face as she spoke.

It's honestly quite shocking to hear that in this day and age, wrestling promotions such as the RSW are placing their women in lewd and disparaging match types such as a bra and panties match. Many people, including RSW wrestler Hanalei Brightly, are left bewildered and disgusted over this treatment towards female wrestlers. This is especially baffling as many women in the professional wrestling industry are combating this mistreatment, but progress can never be made if many of them are still being sexually objectified to this day.

With those opening statements, the live feed transitions into a series of pre-packaged footage to coincide with the news story. Such scenes include some of the RSW women competing in their matches, specifically Hailey Banks, Emma Douglas, and Hanalei Brightly.

For years, women in professional wrestling have been fighting to gain the same kind of credibility and recognition that their male counterparts have. With the current hashtag Women's Wrestling trending all over the internet, many people are finally giving these women a chance to shine out on their own and prove that they have what it takes to be just as good as the men. However, after seeing that she and some of her fellow female talent are being placed in a bra and panties match for RSW's upcoming Vendetta event, Hanalei Brightly was shocked, disgusted and even hurt by the mistreatment that she and the other women are facing.

The scene then transitioned to when Hanalei was being interviewed. She was an absolute mess as tears were streaming down her face. Devin Kendrick often comforted her as she spoke to the cameras.

It's not fair! All I wanted was to see this company grow and help everyone receive better treatment from the management. I don't know what I did wrong... I sacrificed a lot to be a professional wrestler and this is what I get? This is what the other women in RSW receive for busting our asses off and trying to make women's wrestling legitimate?

Right on cue, the video clip of Arianny DeLisle now presented itself on the screen, which was taken from a video in which Ms. DeLisle addressed the RSW roster in regards to the booking of the match.

You three don’t deserve a real match because you’re all awful examples of women. Something gross and stupid like a Bra and Panties match is what you deserve.

After that lovely misogynistic gem, Hanalei could be seen again wiping her eyes with her sleeves as she continued talking to the media.

Hailey Banks and Emma Douglas are two talented women that are being placed in this awful match along with me. We deserve better. We shouldn't be degraded to mere eye candy here!

Ater that last bit of pre-recorded footage, the feed went back to the live scene of Crescencia standing in front of the camera. She shook her head, having a disgusted look on her face.
