“Tell us a story, Ravey.” Little Leyla Hunter, age 8, tugged at the sleeve of Raven MacDemare's sweater. Leyla, her 10-year old brother RJ, and Raven were hiding inside a fort made up of about a dozen pillows and blankets.
It was Thanksgiving weekend in Canada and our gorgeous vlogger was in Calgary with her boyfriend’s family. At the moment, Lord Blake was off with his father moose hunting in some remote location west of Edmonton. He had no idea how to use a rifle and Raven was trying not to worry about his safety and that of the others he was with. She was at the home of Ryan and Krista Hunter, Lord’s uncle and aunt. They had gone away to Banff for the night and Raven was babysitting.
Raven’s plan to take the children to the Calgary Zoo had fallen through thanks to the weather Calgary was currently experiencing. It was snowing and freezing, and Raven had settled for indoor camping and storytelling. She paused The Lego Movie they had been streaming on the iPad and sat up.
“What kind?”
“One with monsters!”
Raven ruffled RJ’s hair. “I can definitely tell you a story about monsters. Let's make some s'mores, then I'll start.”

“Once upon a time in a faraway land called Sanfranset, there lived an evil monster of a king named DeLameous and his not-so-perfect queen, Ariawfulanny. DeLameous and Ariawfulanny enjoyed making the lives of their subjects difficult and miserable. One day, the hero of our story, a handsome boy named Loris, took on Ariawfulanny in battle. Everything was stacked against Loris, as was the norm in Sanfranset. His enemies were all around and one of those enemies, a serpent of a woman named Monevil, had destroyed Loris’ lady, the fair Ravenly, earlier that evening. Thanks to an unlikely ally, Loris found himself in a fair fight which Ariawfulanny wasn’t fit to handle. He defeated the queen and ended up silencing King DeLameous in the process.
Victory was short lived.
The monsters were angry and they vowed vengeance. Loris and Ravenly were signed up for battle, but on opposite sides. They would have team with their mortal enemies, two of the most evil people ever. Loris and Ravenly had many battles with Archesus and Em-
Uhhh, lets just call her Emma.
Ravenly hated this more than anything in the world. Archesus had taken advantage of her before despite Ravenly’s inability to give up or give in. She couldn’t wrap her head around the fact he was to be her partner. Morally, she just couldn’t fathom helping Archesus defeat Loris, and she was certain Archesus and Emma felt the same way. They had also unwillingly become puppets for DeLameous and Ariawfulanny. The sad thing was, the King had tied all of their hands together. All of their futures in Sanfranset depended on working with the very people they despised.
Ravenly was the fastest person in the upcoming battle. She knew Loris was sluggish and didn’t care much for cardio. He was so strong but she could and would run circles around him to stay away from his precise strikes. He would be useless to Emma against Ravenly. Emma had the same problem as Loris. Her physical prowess would hinder her speed and speed was so important in a situation like this. Ravenly knew she could outlast her love and his unfortunate partner, but the unknown Archesus brought to the table terrified her.
Archesus had taken Loris to hell and back on several occasions. Archesus had tortured Loris and Ravenly so many times, and all that hate would drive Loris to try and secure victory. Ravenly wasn’t sure she could stop Loris from doing whatever he could to win. He didn’t mind using underhanded tactics if the situation called for it. But Ravenly was prideful and she was tired of losing.
DeLameous and Ariawfulanny had outdone themselves. It was going to be a true main event battle for the ages…”

“Hang on guys.”
Hailey Banks was calling.
“Hailsy!”
Raven’s smile quickly vanished. Hailey was in tears on the other end of the phone.
“Lemme check.”
Raven logged on to RSW’s website via her iPhone. The top story was Hailey and Aiden Van’t Hoff being released. Some bullshit followed but Shawn DeLise’s social post confirmed what Raven already knew.
Their friends had been fired thanks to Lord’s actions at the end of Vendetta.
/End.
