“The bigger picture”
Miles repeated to me. For me, there was no bigger picture. Bryce Albright spat on the Lucha Libre heritage when he ripped my mask off. Bryce dishonored me and the history of that mask, given to me on my first night in Mexico and later blessed by Mil Máscaras. Bryce and his skewed sense of reasoning and judgement needs to be taught a lesson. Bryce needs to lose something that he holds close - the Absolute Championship.
He clutches to it tightly, holding it to his chest because he knowsI can take it from him. He knows I will take it from him. Soon... very soon.
First is the issue of the tag team match.
Is it an issue teaming with Issak Otto? I have no problem with him. Last Vendetta was business and I was taking the opportunity that should have been mine a long time ago. No hard feelings, Issak, but on that night you were another person in my way.
We’re together at this Vendetta to face Bryce Albright - whom Issak also wants revenge on, feeding from Miles’ hand in that respect - and Arianny DeLise.
This match is not the bigger picture for me. This match is a prelude of things to come in RSW. It’s time for RSW to see me for what I am, and that’s a legitimate threat to each and every person in this roster - from Bryce all the way up to Ari and the “untouchable” Mafia she leads.
All eyes will be opened at Vendetta and I will no longer be thought of as just a mask that is regulated to the bottom of the roster. I will no longer be thought of as talentless, a “piece of garbage” or a… what did they call it?... Luchagay. Yes. That was it.
I’m not one to be taken lightly and for all of the insults and jokes, they will pay greatly. The attacks and for the… argh… embarrassment that I have felt, they will regret deeply once they stand across the ring from me. They will regret every decision that has brought them to this point after I have broken them down with my vicious striking. Taking them down a couple of pegs to where they really belong, where they have belonged all along - on the receiving end of my power.
Arianny should locate her brother. Ask him about how I mangled his arm in my submission. Ask him how it felt when the bone snapped, and then think about how it’s going to feel once I take your freshly healed arm and do the exact same. And in all honesty - you don’t have the defensive technique to stop me. I could have played nice, but you and Shawn DeLise have fucked me over because of someone else’s selfish thinking. Not Miles. You, Arianny. You were the one who crawled to Miles and offered yourself to him. Not the other way around.
You are the reason I am where I am, why I had to battle back to contendership status. You, Arianny, may have swindled your way to the top of the company, to be the boss’ wife, but this is one match you’re not going to get out of.
Not this time.
And while Bryce may be a technical messiah and may be stronger than me, Bryce is also a man that cannot go the distance. Once he realizes that I’m not someone like Raven and will fight back, incorporating my kicks, aerial agility and submission technique into my arsenal against him - he will begin to feel the effects of his empty gas tank. Endurance is what he lacks. That will be the fall of the Bryce empire.
Lets say, though, he manages to last until the end. It will be his lack of intelligence that brings failure to his team at Vendetta. Bryce will make a mistake, one that myself or Issak will pick up on and exploit to the finish. Like he made the mistake of not finishing me off after removing my mask. Like he made the mistake of taking something as trivial as a competitive match and making it personal. Bryce Albright lacks the brainpower it takes to be a threat...to be a champion.
I’ll correct that. In due time.
At Vendetta I will open Arianny’s and Bryce’s eyes to what the future holds.
Welcome Year Zero.
